Formerly a military secure communications engineer, Over the past 30 years Mike has worked in senior positions at Senior Director level in UK Central Government Departments and on Cybersecurity within UK Law Enforcement Agencies and across industry covering Energy, Utilities, Pharma, High Tech, Media and Telcos. Formerly Chief Cyber Strategist for Hewlett Packard and Security lead at a Big 4, he is an experience and Certified CISO and Winner of the Industry Cyber Security Awards Personality of the Year 2016, CISO of the Year 2016, a finalist for Global Certified CISO of the Year on two occasions. Mike is the Founder of the IOTSA and CEO of the Ascot Barclay Group, CISO at POWEL AS, SKY Broadcast & Media and Cyber Security Advisor to the Football Premier League. He has completed the SANS GIAC GICSP certification training programme as well as other industry certifications and was a founder, deputy chair and lecturer for the UK’s first University lead National MBA in Cyber Security.
Maxim has extensive experience in ICS Cyber Security consultancy and solution delivery into the global Automation Industry (Power, Nuclear, Utilities, Chemical, Oil & Gas and Pharma). Maxim is an ICS-CERT member leading on red team scenarios and advising organisations on how to protect their OT environments from adversarial attacks. He is a visiting lecturer working with universities in Scotland and other countries concentrating on network security for OT environments. His research includes cyber security programmes like FP7 framework (Cockpit CI, Atena and more). Maxim brings deep technical expertise to the IOTSA team, check out his regular blog for insights and security based wisdom.
Sue has over 17 years’ experience working with Central Government and Defence organisations, delivering complex and high value Business Transformation and Programme Management in a variety of Consultancy roles, across Nuclear/ Telecoms/ PSN/ ICT sectors. She recently completed a Masters’ degree in Cyber Security, where her focus was on Operational Technology in CNI environments. Mike Loginov President and Founder says, Sue’s experience in these national infrastructure environments will bring insights into how IOTSA can build awareness and support the implementation of the EU NIS Directive as well as benefiting for Sue’s energy and passion for the subject and in moving the IOTSA forward as a key platform for collaboration in OT and IoT Security.
Lek is an international businesswoman with a keen interest in OT Cyber Security and is the owner of a manufacturing company in the Far East. Based in London, Lek has been appointed to the role of Treasurer and will oversee the organisation’s finances during the first term of the association’s launch.
With over 15 years railway engineering experience, before moving in the last 10 years to the Utilities and Petrochemical industry, Mike has led multidiscipline project teams across Europe and the USA with security roles at Centrica, National Grid and BP. Mike has consulted on projects from Data Centre designs & relocations to SOC implementations and SIEM integrations, along with the management of third-party vendors and outsourcing suppliers. As well as being a CISSP Mike is also an ISO/IEC 27002 Lead Auditor. He brings a wealth of experience and deep technical prowess from across industry to the IOTSA team.
Tim is a C-level executive with a global track record of transformation, business development, and growth. His executive search firm Rembrandt Consultants Ltd is a leader in the hunt for the most outstanding talent across the cyber/IT/OTcommunity, and Tim’s entrepreneurial ability to leverage businesses with talent, a business development professional.
With more than 20-year experience of working in academia, teaching a variety of disciplines roughly falling into the category of Computer Networks, Infrastructure and Security. His research expertise and interests include practical application of computer-assisted measurements, predictive maintenance, security of sensor and computer networks. He uses these technologies for remote monitoring, improving versatility and security of instrumentation systems, as well as for adding intelligent features to these systems (sensor fusion, adaptive and predictive control, fuzzy diagnostics and calibration). Application domains of his research include oil and gas industry, medicine and health informatics, electrical power systems and cyber security.

Olav is a seasoned leader in the delivery of robust and secure Operational Technology (OT) systems across the industrial landscape including, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Building Controls & Security, Manufacturing & Energy. As cyber security standards have developed, Olav has ensured their implementation within the complex and large-scale projects for which he has been commercially and technically responsible. Within his 30 year career, he has held roles from control system engineer through system integration manager and senior project manager, delivering Industrial Control & Safety Systems, Building Management & Security Systems, Management Information Systems, Production Information and Plant Optimisation Systems. Equally at home managing projects to the most stringent quality standards or coordinating the technical design challenges in integrating complex multi-vendor systems, Olav’s focus is always on delivering the right robust, secure and performant solution and is happy to share his expertise and insights with the IOTSA community.
Andrew is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, with an extensive career in senior technical leadership roles. He has a track record of delivering high-quality project results and positive change outcomes, especially in situations that combine Engineering, Manufacturing, OT and IT. His career has seen him lead multidiscipline teams in US, Europe, India and Asia. He has also mentored many individuals in their technical careers. Most recently Andy was Programme Manager for a substantial OT cyber security programme for a global chemicals company and is currently engaged on large scale OT Cybersecurity initiatives for a global brand. As a result, Andy offers insights into programme and project delivery to the benefit of the IOTSA community.
Blair is a versatile and experienced Consultant / Lead Engineer within the Process Automation industry with 20 years experience and well-developed technical, design, commissioning and management skills. Involved in large-scale process automation and, network OT and IT infrastructure projects for major blue chip companies. Highly motivated, confident and committed team player, working best in a challenging, results-driven environment, who has well-developed communication skills and succeeds by building positive working relationships with clients and colleagues. Blair is a proactive member of the IOTSA team and one of our key go to guys on process automation security aspects.
Serkan is a multi-discipline and versatile OT Consultant Engineer with 20+ years experience gained within the Information Technology and OT Industrial Automation & Control sectors. Serkan began his career with a major automation and control vendor, where he developed and honed his engineering skills on many flagship mega-projects. Career progression has seen Serkan move into consultancy roles where he has provided Operational Technology cyber security subject matter expertise (SME) to major Blue chip companies. Technical problem solving and presenting solutions provide Serkan with job satisfaction. Serkan brings a wealth of practical hands-on experience in OT Cyber Security and is a high-value addition to the IOTSA team.
With over twenty years experience in the information security industry, Karl is both well-connected and highly respected. He has been invited on to the advisory boards of many Cyber Security related initiatives and associations such as the Professional Bodies Advisory Group to CESG, the Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + Security Science (CSCSS) Advisory Board and the International Systems Security Association (ISSA) and of course the IOTSA is pleased also to have Karls wisdom within our fold.
Scott is an experienced business transformation lead, having worked in technology automation, before moving into management consultancy with PA Consulting. Initially working in sourcing and procurement, before specialising in business design, Scott has delivered global commercial and operating models for clients across a range of industries, including critical national infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, technology and financial services. His primary areas of focus now, are OT vendor and contract management, along with OT standards and policy within global manufacturing organisations.
